Q: What is RingYard?
RingYard is a revolutionary Internet phone service that works with your existing phone giving you the best rates on calls to Jamaica. RingYard does not require you to switch your current carrier or install new hardware or software. All that is required is a valid phone number. RingYard is not a replacement for your current phone service.
Q: Does it cost anything to register?
No. Registration is free.
Q: Are there any hidden costs?
No. There are no registration fees, cancellation fees, per minute charges, per call charges, or any other hidden charges. For one low per minute rate, you can call home.
Q: How does RingYard work?
RingYard works with your existing phone (US, UK and Canada only) to make calls to any mobile or land-line in Jamaica.  Simply dial our number access number to place calls.
Q: This all sounds great. but what if I'm not at the computer?
You can also access RingYard.com from your primary phone by dialing access number
toll and fees free, for the same great rate! Enter your 4-digit personal PIN and follow the prompts. Note your primary phone can be your cell/home/office phone number. Caller ID must be enabled.
Q: Can I use my RingYard service from another uregistered phone?
Yes. Dial our access number and wait for the greeting. Press 1 to make a call, when prompted to enter your 4-digit PIN press the pound # key. You can then enter your phone number and PIN.
Q: Can I transfer RingYard credits?
Yes. You can transfer credits to anyone with an existing RingYard account. Dial our access number and select option 4 and follow the prompts.
Q: What is the difference between RingYard and regular phone cards?
With RingYard there are no access numbers or long PINS to dial. RingYard is consistently cheaper than other phone cards.  Also unlike phone cards and other calling card services, your  unused RingYard Minutes Rollover after each call. There are no fees, absolutely none. When you purchase 100 minutes you receive 100 minutes. With RingYard there is no need to leave home to purchase a calling card. You may also check your usage and minutes remaining online.
Q: What is the difference between RingYard and other VoIP services?
The calls made via RingYard.com are phone-to-phone, which means you don’t need a headset, a microphone or a special phone to use it, so you don’t have to be tied to your computer. RingYard also uses the web browser, so you don’t have to download or install any kind of software to use our service. Using RingYard is as simple and as comfortable as placing a regular phone call, only much cheaper.
Q: What else do I get besides calling home?
That’s not enough? Ok, we also provide you with great customer service that you can access through the Web. View all your calls in real-time, check payments, and update your account information. See what numbers you've called, even what number you are calling, or see when you called who ("Mom...look, I did call!").  In addition, you can use your online account manager to set up convenient features, such as quick-dial list.
Q: Can anyone sign-up?
Yes, anyone within the United States, Canada or United Kingdom.
Q: Do I have to commit to a long-term contract?
Absolutely not. You can discontinue the service anytime by emailing customer service.
Q: How do I get started?
You need to create an account in order to use RingYard You will need to provide the primary phone number from which you will use the RingYard service. Create a unique PIN you can remember then login with your primary phone number and your PIN to begin making calls.
Q: Where can I call with my RingYard account?
You can call over 20 Caribbean Islands, in addition to anyone
living in the US, UK or Canada. (see list here)
Q: Is there a cost to using RingYard?
Yes. The service only requires that you purchase prepaid credits for your phone.
Q: Where do I purchase my minutes?
You can purchase your minutes at RingYard.com. You can select the amount of prepaid minutes you need in US dollar increments of 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 150. You can pay for your minutes using a debit card, credit card or personal check.
Q: Do I need broadband to use RingYard?
No. RingYard works with any Internet connection from Dialup to Broadband.
Q: Do I need to switch from my current telephone service?
No. It doesn't matter who your current local or long-distance provider is, you don't need to do anything but dial from our website to use your minutes. RingYard is not a replacement for your current phone service.
Q: Will the recipient of my call need a computer?
No. The person you are calling only needs a phone. :)
Q: Can someone other than me use my RingYard account?
No. Your service only works the primary number you specified when you created your account.
Q: Can I change my primary number?
Currently your primary number cannot be changed. We are exploring adding this capability. You will need to create an additional account for other phone numbers.
Q: Do I need to be online to access RingYard?
No. All calls are initiated from your phone.
Q: How will I know when I have run out of minutes?
Once logged-in, your remaining minutes are displayed at the top of all pages. Once your minutes have finished you will need to purchase addtional minutes to make calls.
Q: How long will it take from the time I sign up to use the service?
You can begin using the service instantly. Immediately after you sign-up, all of your account information will appear on your screen, where you will be encouraged to print it out. Your account information will also be emailed to you.
Q: Will I be notified when one minute is remaining?
Yes. You will be notified at 1 minute and again at 30 seconds.
Q: Can I add minutes to my online account?
Yes. You can purchase additional minutes by clicking on the buy more minutes link. Minutes purchased are added to the existing minutes on your account.

Q: Does RingYard have a refund policy?
Yes. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the service RingYard will refund your remaining minutes via check. No questions asked.

Q: What should I do if my card does not work?
Ringyard uses a virtual card. Once your account has minutes it is guaranteed to work. However, if you experience difficulty with your connection please contact us.

Q: Are the rates the same 24 hours a day?
Yes. You can make a call whenever you want! Not just on the weekends or after 9pm...anytime you want! Call early, call late, call anytime! The choice is yours!
Q: Is there a higher rate for the first minute than subsequent minutes?
No. Rates remain the same throughout the duration of the call.
Q: Will I be charged for calls that are not connected?
There are no connection fees or surcharges.
Q: Are there any fees?
